HI!

I’m Sheldon, Product Lead & UXD Enthusiast

I help teams build meaningful products, driven by a genuine commitment to improving the lives of those we design for.

My view of product

“A good product is intuitive. It’s in sync with what seems natural to a user. It aligns with expectation and minimizes a user’s time to value.”

“Embracing minimalism isn’t a compromise. It is simply the elimination of the unnecessary for the sake of focus and clarity.”

“A product must be meaningful. It must have a positive impact on the individual, the community, and the environment.”

About me

I work in healthcare technology as a Product Manager

I lead two scrum teams, one developing a mobile application aimed at improving healthcare provider productivity, and the other, building modular interactive widgets for three internal business applications focusing on operational accuracy and efficiency in workflows.

In addition, I lead the mobile user engagement team in building the user-journey driving behavioural change through multi-channel communications.

I help solve complex problems through digital solutions

Although I lack a technical background, I made a shift to the software industry in 2021, leveraging a decade of experience in consumer electronics.

This transition involved considerable risk and sacrifice, but it was a commitment I was determined to pursue, dedicating the necessary time and effort.

In my current role, I collaborate with various teams, including engineering, UX, marketing, analytics, and support, to advance ideas along the value-chain and contribute to their development.

I’ve cultivated a keen interest in User Experience Design

I enjoy working with designers to improve the products I lead. Identifying critical goals and building seamless, intuitive paths to address them typically excites me.

Naturally, brainstorming with UX researchers and designers about the practical implication of design decisions led to further investment in the subject.

Outside of work, I enjoy identifying potential areas of improvement in digital or tangible solutions and processes. I then envision their reconstruction as if I were building them from scratch.

…and I’m curious about the impact of social sciences on product

Walking the user’s path is imperative to building any good product. I find learning about the world and the humans we build for fascinating. The sciences help answer what we can’t explain during research and development.
